 What a fun and amazing first week in Nashville!

We got to Memphis after just a few hours of sleep on tuesday night and started our drive into Nashville - only to find the interstate was blocked off and we had to take a detour .... making our arrival at 5:30am on Wednesday.  After just 45 minutes of sleep we headed off to find our loading station for the CMA Fan Fair at 7:30am.  After a long day of setting up my booth and going thrift shopping ... we were finally ready to start the fan fair on thursday!! 

CMA FAN FAIR .... I had such an amazing time at the CMA Fan Fair .... my booth was directly across from the Budwiser Beer Garden and the Grand Ole Opry Stage (The Durango Music Spot) so we had a lot of traffic and was so fortunate to meet so many amazing people.  I had such a long line up for autograph signings and pictures (totally felt like a rockstar) I was able to meet and see over 2,000 people coming through my booth - so it was such a wonderful & sureal experience.  I'm SO grateful for the CMA's for picking me ... THANK YOU!  I'll be posting an album of my booth and all my wonderful new fans on my website here - so keep an eye out for it! 

THIS WEEK ...  I've been playing a bunch of shows downtown Nashville and doing a bunch of writing ... but I lost my voice!  It's turned into a full on head cold with a nasty cough - so I'm trying to take some time to rest my vocal chords so I don't ruin them!  I had an really good vocal lesson with Renee Grant Williams (who coaches many of the country music stars) and she gave me some really good advise so I'm excited to try out some new techniques!  Next week I've got some recording to do, writing and more shows - so super productive :-) 

TOURING .... oh yes touring .... I'm so excited to be planning my first tour for this fall and I am taking TOUR REQUESTS!  So if you want me to come to your town, just shoot me a message and my tour manager will take that into account when planning and booking shows. 

NEW ALBUM ... is being released this August!! Some of you who came to Fan Fair already have a copy of the new album, but it is being released WORLDWIDE and on iTunes this August!  I'll be putting on a few big shows in Canada to celebrate, so please stay tuned! 

NEW MUSIC VIDEO ....  is being recorded this fall and I am super excited to show you guys.  I think we will be shooting it in Nashville and hopefully it will be released to CMT and GAC!!  So that's super exciting :)

 Hey everyone!!!!

What a crazy adventure this has all turned out to be :)  I finally arrived in Nashville after much struggle with getting merchandise on time, getting my VISA approved & not recieved in time ... etc etc ... but it was all SO worth it.  

As I was setting up my booth today (on about 40 minutes of sleep) I realized how big the scope of this festival is.  Over 200,000 people.  Crowd Control.  Autograph signing sessions & not to mention seeing/meeting all these amazing artists both emerging & legends.  (My booth is a hop, skip & jump away from Alan Jackson's).   I am SUPER excited to meet all these amazing new fans who don't even know I'm waiting for them.  How cool is that?

I'm excited to be writing all this next week, playing a bunch of writers rounds and just being in my favourite town.  It all feels sort of seral - but I am SUPER ready for this weekend & whatever it has in store for me.
